Tradition Since 1910
Alfred Dunhill began his career in his father's saddlery and developed his first pipe specifically for motorists. Its design ensured that it wouldn’t overheat even with the car’s top down—an innovation at the time.
Shortly after, he opened his own shop in London. Innovations such as sandblasted pipes and ebonite mouthpieces can be credited to him. The Cumberland, Shell Briar, Bruyere, and Root Briar series remain classics to this day.
