Aladino – Cigars

Aladino: Tobacco Culture with Heart and Tradition

When you hear the name Aladino, you might think of a tale from the Arabian Nights. But behind this melodious name lies not a fantasy, but a genuine family story filled with a passion for tobacco. The Aladino brand is run by the Eiroa family, renowned for their decades of expertise in cigar making. Their story showcases how tradition and innovation can harmonize to create something truly extraordinary.

The Eiroa Family and Their Legacy

Aladino is part of the JRE Tobacco Company, named after Julio R. Eiroa, a name of true significance in the world of cigars. Born in Cuba, Julio had to leave his homeland after the revolution. Via Florida, he found his way to Honduras, where he built a flourishing tobacco empire through hard work and dedication.

In 1995, Julio, along with his son Christian, took over the Camacho brand. Under their leadership, it became one of the most prestigious names in premium cigars. The brand's rise was further fueled by the cigar boom of the late 1990s.

From Camacho to Aladino

In 2008, Camacho was acquired by Oettinger Davidoff, providing the family with an opportunity to explore new ventures. Christian Eiroa went on to focus on his own projects, such as Eiroa and CLE, while Julio initially stepped back from the public eye. However, for someone like Julio, whose life is deeply entwined with tobacco, retirement was never an option.

Aladino: A New Chapter

In 2016, Julio and his son Justo founded the Aladino brand. Using tobacco grown on their own farms in Danlí, Honduras, they continue the family tradition, offering cigar enthusiasts worldwide an authentic experience. Since 2023, the premium Aladino cigars have also been available in Germany, captivating customers with their distinctive quality.

Interestingly, the name Aladino carries a local significance: the Tabacalera El Aladino in Danlí, Honduras, was named after an old cinema. With this story, Julio and Justo blend their personal passion with a touch of nostalgia, creating cigars that ignite the hearts of connoisseurs.
