Alfambra Boutique Cigars from Nicaragua
The Alfambra Boutique cigars have expanded the portfolio since May 2024. They stand for artisanal precision and reflect the influence of Alejandro Mata. The Spaniard from Málaga originally came from the spirits trade. He discovered his passion for cigars after being invited by Pernod Ricard to the Festival del Habano in Cuba. Meeting Alejandro Robaina proved formative and ultimately led to the founding of his own tabacalera in Estelí in 2007.
For the Alfambra Boutique, almost exclusively tobaccos from Alfambra’s own Nicaraguan cultivation are used. The filler combines Corojo 99 and H 2000, while the binder is a Nicaraguan Sun Grown. Only the wrapper comes from Ecuador, where its Sun Grown character adds extra tension to the flavor profile.
Aromatically, the Boutique cigars present woody notes with a light roasted character, accompanied by a pleasant creaminess. As the smoke progresses, the profile remains stable, with strength ranging from mild to at most medium-bodied. This makes these cigars suitable both for a relaxed introduction and for experienced aficionados seeking a coherent overall package at a fair price.
