Antigua Esteli: A Brand of History and Pleasure
Art Garcia, the creative mind behind Antigua Esteli, launched the brand in 2016. Just three years later, the cigars were introduced at InterTabac in Germany, garnering widespread acclaim.
In the United States, the cigars are known as "Segovias de Esteli" due to a brief trademark dispute. However, in this region, the familiar name remains: Antigua Esteli. Try them out and explore their diversity!
The Unique Appeal of Antigua Esteli Cigars
The name Antigua Esteli references the region of Nueva Segovia in Nicaragua, one of the world's most renowned tobacco-growing areas. The motto “El Diamante de las Segovias” highlights the exceptional quality of these cigars. Art Garcia first showcased the brand to the world at the IPCPR in Las Vegas.
In 2019, the brand made its grand debut in Germany. Woermann Cigars took over the import and introduced two series: Oscuro and Maduro. The Oscuro series impresses with an Ecuadorian Sungrown wrapper, while the Maduro series stands out with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Both series are made from 100% Nicaraguan tobacco and are available in Robusto, Torpedo, and Toro formats.
The Name Antigua Esteli: A Tribute to Tradition
"Antigua" means "antique" or "old" in Spanish and alludes to the historic cigar town of Esteli in the province of Nueva Segovia. This connection to its origins is also evident in the Segovia line, available in this region. With Antigua Esteli, you experience cigars that combine tradition and quality at the highest level.
