Brick House – A Tribute to Hungary
The term "Brick" translates to brick in English. With the brand Brick House, the Newman company pays homage to the founder’s family home. Julius Newman emigrated from a small Hungarian village to the United States in 1888. To better integrate himself, he adopted a second name, following American custom. Unsure of which name to choose, he spontaneously decided on "Caesar." With such an impressive name, Julius Caesar Newman was destined for greatness.
Cigar Tycoon: The J.C. Newman Company
And so it came to be. The "American Dream," which many aspired to but few achieved, became a reality for Newman. After training in the cigar industry, he founded his own company. Today, the J.C. Newman Company is a well-known name in the cigar world, specializing in the import and distribution of premium cigars in the United States.
The Brick House brand also includes other labels, such as El Baton and the particularly refined Diamond Crown cigars.
Brick House Cigars – The Modern Revival
Even more than 130 years after its founding, J.C. Newman remains a family business. With the Brick House line, the descendants of Julius Caesar not only revive a chapter of his biography but also a tradition dating back to the 1930s. Today, Brick House cigars impress with harmonious and slightly sweet aromas across three series. Whether as a Nicaraguan puro, the mild Double Connecticut, or the Maduro with its sweet-spicy notes—each series has its unique charm.
