Buena Vista Cigars: Delights from Brazil and the Dominican Republic
The traditional company Arnold André from Bünde brings a real highlight to the market with its in-house brand Buena Vista. These cigars are crafted in their own Tabacalera in the Dominican Republic, showcasing the brand’s innovative spirit.
The name Araperique carries a rich history. It is derived from the terms Arapiraca and Perique, combining high-quality Brazilian tobacco with the distinctive spiciness often found in pipe tobacco.
But what does this mean exactly? Is there pipe tobacco in the cigar? Not quite. The Arapiraca tobacco undergoes a unique treatment process similar to Perique. The tobacco is first moistened and then pressed under high pressure in former whiskey barrels. This labor-intensive process can take over a year to complete the fermentation. The result is a richly aromatic filler tobacco with a fruity note.
Cigars with Style: Dark Fired Kentucky and Araperique
The Dark Fired Kentucky series captivates with a special drying method: the tobacco is dried over smoldering hickory and oak wood. This gives the series’ five formats an unmatched, smoky flavor with intense roasted aromas. Can’t decide between Dark Fired Kentucky and Araperique? Both variants are available in a sampler that contains one Toro from each line.
Both series, Araperique and Dark Fired Kentucky, are also available as Shortfillers. These smaller formats are perfect for a quick break in between.
