In North Rhine-Westphalia, the cities are often close to each other. For us Düsseldorfers, it's just a stone's throw to Wuppertal, a historic industrial city in the Bergisches Land. This is where Oskar Nausch's journey began before he moved to the Dominican Republic. Whether it was the rainy weather in Wuppertal or the longing for adventure that led him there remains a mystery.
Don Esteban – A Success Story
In Santiago de los Caballeros, the second-largest city in the Dominican Republic, Oskar manages the “Don Esteban” tobacco factory. Under his leadership, extraordinary cigars are created – in a place where the rain is a bit warmer than in Wuppertal.
Our collaboration with Oskar and his team has lasted for almost 20 years. This close relationship has been a key factor in the development of his brand Samana.
