Casa de Torres – A Cigar Brand by Schuster
The cigars from Casa de Torres are the first and to this day the most successful proprietary brand of the August Schuster family. With its over 100 years of family tradition, it has written a significant chapter in German tobacco history.
The Roots in Bünde
The story began with Hermann Schuster, a trained baker who founded a cigar factory in Bünde in 1897. His sons Richard and Georg joined the company. After their deaths, Hermann's son, Dr. Arnold Schuster, took over the business. The daughters of the family were also active in cigar manufacturing. However, the true milestone for the company as it stands today was set in 1909 by Dr. August Schuster, who brought his expertise into the family’s cigar production. He not only shaped the Westphalian city of Bünde as an important hub for the German cigar industry but also influenced the brand itself. The family tradition continued with Dr. Hans Schuster, who took over the company in 1953 and led it for 30 years. From 1983 onward, brothers Manfred and Philipp Schuster carried on the business.
Premium Cigars from Nicaragua: Casa de Torres
The tradition established by the Schuster family lives on in their cigar brands. Their products represent the highest quality and are indispensable in specialty shops. Among the well-known brands are Partageno, Lepanto, C. Mendoza, Casa de Torres, Brazil Trüllerie, and the popular Maria Mancini.

To become less dependent on external producers, the Schuster family decided in the 1990s to manufacture handcrafted longfiller cigars under their own label in Nicaragua.
Casa de Torres Cigars: Classic, Edition Especial, Maduro Selection
