Casdagli Cigars: Partners and Tradition in the Dominican Republic
Perhaps you remember: Casdagli Cigars were originally known under the name Bespoke. The term means “custom-made” and reflects the high standard of quality the brand applies to its cigars. However, due to trademark issues, a rebranding was necessary, and the label now bears the family name of its owner.
The Heritage of Casdagli
The brand is led by Jeremy Nicholas Casdagli, whose roots trace back to a Greek merchant family. This family began its history as early as the 19th century in the Ottoman Empire.

Later, the Casdagli family gained prominence from Alexandria through the cotton trade with England, with Manchester serving as the center of the European textile industry. Other luxury goods, such as Arabian horses, also played a role in the family's success.
Casdagli Cigars: Craftsmanship at Its Best
After a period focusing on Cuban cigars, the activities shifted to the Dominican Republic. There, Jeremy Casdagli collaborates with Hendrik Kelner Jr.. His father, Hendrik Kelner Sr., is considered a legendary master blender at Davidoff. In the Tabacalera KBF (Kelner Boutique Factory) in 2013, Casdagli’s first series, the Traditional Line, was developed. The emblem chosen for the brand was the Colossus of Rhodes, symbolizing strength and the family's long-standing heritage.
The Traditional Line was followed by the Club Mareva and the Basilica, specially crafted for the oriental market. Their citrus notes resonate well with the tastes of aficionados in this region. With the Cabinet Selection, available in a 50-cigar cabinet box, another series was launched in the Dominican Republic before the brand expanded to Costa Rica.
From Alexandria to Costa Rica: The Journey of Casdagli Cigars
From Costa Rica comes the Daughters of the Wind, developed in collaboration with Tabacalera IGM and Olman Guzman. Originally crafted for the U.S. market, these cigars are now also available here. In Puriscal, near the capital San José, new collaborations between Jeremy Casdagli and Guzman have emerged.

The Villa Casdagli is named after the former family residence in Cairo’s Garden City, an upscale district between Tahrir Square and the Nile Island of Roda. We eagerly await the surprises Jeremy Casdagli has in store for cigar enthusiasts. One thing is certain: every boutique cigar from Casdagli is a testament to exceptional blending and top-notch quality.
