Centaur Cigars: Myths and Legends to Savor
Here, you delve deep into the world of Greek mythology. Tobias Forst, the visionary behind the brand, channels his passion for ancient heroic tales into the design and naming of the cigars.
Centaurs, those hybrid creatures of man and horse, have always captivated the imagination. With a human torso and the lower body of a horse, they are regarded as powerful mythical beings. However, despite their strength, they carry a dubious reputation—known for being unruly and lustful. Their mythological origin is equally controversial, as they are said to descend from the infamous Ixion, a king notorious for his unscrupulous deeds.
Only Cheiron, a wise and just centaur, stands out positively. The son of the god-king Cronus, he is renowned as the mentor of legendary heroes like Achilles and Odysseus. This inspiring figure demonstrates that wisdom and virtue can thrive even amidst chaotic tales.
Cigars Inspired by Ancient Myths
At Centaur Cigars, Cheiron even has his own dedicated Toro. Each vitola is named after a mythological figure, and the respective blend is crafted to reflect the character of these figures. A perfect way to explore myths in a new, indulgent manner—without the need for thick books.
Craftsmanship and Tradition
The cigars are produced at the Tabacalera of Henrik Kelner Jr. in Santiago de los Caballeros. Henrik Kelner Jr., son of the Davidoff legend Henrik Kelner, has showcased his talent with renowned brands such as Casdagli, Principle Cigars, and his own brand Smoking Jacket. His expertise is evident in the exceptional quality of Centaur Cigars.
