Don Pepin Cigars: Cuban Roots, Global Fame
The brand Don Pepin and its legendary master blender José Garcia stand for the highest level of craftsmanship and quality in the cigar world today. But before we dive into his iconic creations, it's worth taking a look at the impressive story of the man behind the brand.
José Garcia – From Apprentice to Master
José Garcia learned the art of cigar rolling in his hometown of Baez, east of Havana. By the age of 11, he was already working at his uncle’s factory, displaying exceptional talent. He later refined his skills at the renowned Felix Rodriguez Cigar Factory, where he processed Cuban tobacco into Cohiba, Montecristo, and Ramon Allones cigars.

Later, he trained over 200 cigar rollers and was the only one to master complex formats like the Salomones perfectly.
From Cuba Through Nicaragua to the USA
Via Nicaragua and Mexico, José, along with his son Jaime Garcia, eventually made his way to the USA. His breakthrough came in 2002 when he partnered with tobacco producer Eduardo Fernandez, laying the foundation for his own brand.
