Zino Cigars: The Legend of the Cigar World
With this special line, the parent company Davidoff pays tribute to its visionary founder. Zino, known as the "King of Cigars," is synonymous with captivating indulgence and tireless curiosity, inspiring him time and again to craft extraordinary blends.
Roots in the 1980s
The Zino label has a long tradition: As early as the 1980s, cigars were available under this name. However, the Zino cigars of that time differ significantly from today’s offerings. Originally, they were born out of necessity: While regular Davidoff cigars were produced in Cuba, they could not be sold in the U.S. due to the U.S. trade embargo. As a solution, production was shifted to Honduras specifically for the North American market.
Zino Davidoff: A Name Full of Prestige
Today, Davidoff cigars are predominantly manufactured in the Dominican Republic and are no longer affected by the embargo. Yet, the name Zino remains an icon in the cigar world. It was therefore a logical step to revitalize the line with fresh energy.
The Relaunch
In 2021, the brand made an impressive comeback. The sunny yellow packaging immediately exudes Caribbean flair. The new Zino Nicaragua series combines the values of its namesake – uncompromising quality and master craftsmanship – with an exciting blend.
The new formats particularly shine in their focus on larger sizes. But shorter indulgences are also accounted for: The accompanying cigarillo line in iconic yellow offers quick yet premium options for enjoyment. After all, Zino Davidoff was known for never compromising on quality – no matter how brief the moment.
Zino: Premium Accessories for Connoisseurs
Those who love Zino will also appreciate the brand's elegant accessories. Whether it’s stylish leather cigar cases, precise cutters, practical punches, elegant matches, or reliable jet flames, the collection fulfills the desires of every aficionado. Davidoff stands for uncompromising indulgence, and this is evident here as well.
