Late summer 2025 marks the debut of La Chaveta Cigars. These handcrafted longfillers from Nicaragua are produced by Cigarworld and represent years of passion and expertise.
From Online Platform to In-House Cigar Line
For nearly three decades, Cigarworld has stood for variety in the cigar market. In addition to a wide range of established brands, the shop also offers its own creations – such as the popular La Domaine de Lavalette from the Dominican Republic or Rosa Nicaragua. Hecho en Nicaragua: The La Chaveta Line
With La Chaveta, Cigarworld is launching its own premium series from Nicaragua. The idea had been around for some time, but only now were all conditions just right.
The key was partnering with Ralf Westerwick, a long-time companion from North Rhine-Westphalia who now runs the Casa de Alegria factory in Estelí. The size of the factory, its commitment to quality, and the trusted partnership made him the ideal collaborator for this project.
What Makes La Chaveta Special?
La Chaveta cigars are intentionally rolled a bit tighter – ensuring a perfect draw and a firm, stable ash. Another signature feature: two pigtails, one at each end of the cigar. Thanks to direct production, Cigarworld can offer them for under 10 euros – without compromising on quality.
What Does “Chaveta” Mean?
The name refers to the tool used by cigar rollers to cut the wrapper leaf – the “chaveta.” This iconic knife symbolizes traditional craftsmanship and the roots of cigar culture.
